This is my very first attempt at a proper map and like everyone that is new to this, I am not that good. I didnt get the proportions right for the lenght and width of the house but am not too worried as its just my first attempt.
Well heres the pics...

Its a nice start, its one of my favourite maps so I hope you do it justice.

Anyone got a working physics based curtain yet? Ala Splinter cell?

cs_estate_sb0012edit.JPG - How can I fix this
cs_estate_sb0013edit.JPG - and this
cs_estate_sb0014edit.JPG - In this one, I have marked out where light from my flickering light outside is shining thru the door way, but there is a door in the way so I dont want this to do that/ How can I mix it?

My tip is; try not to stick too much to the original lay-out of the house. It was not very realistic. Try to recreate the house with a more realistic interiour.

Definedly a good start, but when advancing remember atleast these few thingies:

1. Frames. Every window, every door has frames. Use them, make 'em.

2. Detail. Use textures correctly, use them wise. Look around you (yes stand up on you bench and turn around), there are tons of small thingies to be noticed when mapping.

3. Lights. Not too bright, not too dim. Remember to add some color to your lights, old fashion lighting nees some yellowish color and some new technique halogen lights littlebit blue color..

go for it dule

also remember that more than likely there will be 50,000 recreations of this very map, so do something different that will make us want to play this one instead of cs_estate_recreation_504,304,430
