CSS final Still in Beta? (I think so)

Read this thread http://www.hlfallout.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=9975&st=0 over at HL2fallout. I believe him. They give us all the maps now will keep us occupied till release. Anyway I really think that is the case to get us from away from whining about no HL2 just yet. "Let's give the whole CS right now and tell it is the final version we just add an update when HL2 is released" Yeah i think that's what they said.

Anyway I'm dissapointed that there is no Bot support from the start. Now that I've seen CSS in action I don't want to go back an play Condition zero just to play against bots.

Well what do you guys think?

Yes I'd say the game at the moment is in a beta like state, there are problems and I'm sure valve will acknowledge and solve these. Actually beta is probably a bit strong as I haven't come across that many problems (it just feels unfinished without the extra models and the missing sound files). I will say that the game is very enjoyable and I'm sure valve will get round to the problems and fix them-

They must be expecting some issues or they wouldn't have left the bug report tool in. I'm not aiming this at you - but there's an awful lot of people complaining about very small problems. I for one am very happy (at last something other than dust!) and will be even happier when my extra plyr models arrive

I'd agree, but it's really no big deal. They are usually OK at releasing updates through Steam so I'm sure it won't be a long wait to get more maps and bug fixes, etc.

Hopefully we get the rest of the player models soon.

I am in mo way complaigning about the "little" things it's just that i really was hoping for bot support. Otherwise I'll have to get my but whipped playing other people.

I think it is still in beta, because they got a lot of things to fix. But, I do say it is coming along nicely. Yeah, I hope we get the other player models soon, aswell.

The only thing that bothers me about Cs:s is when you bump into a object it pushes you back. Or you can stand on a file cabinet etc.

A few bugs does not a beta make.

Come on guys,. Counter-Strike has always had bugs. Always. It has been a constant work in progress. And right now, VALVe is workin their asses off fixing all the little issues with HL2 no doubt. And still they got this game out and have devs working to polish it up.

For the most part, CSS is great. I'd much rather be playing it now then a few months down the line, just because of a few minor issules.
