I recently installed halflife2 and css on my computer. when i started up steam, it wanted to do an update. when that was finished i got to the normal steam menu (Play games, browse games, find friends, steam settings...etc).
when i go to play games and click counter strike source, it says it has to unlock the game, and starts the decrypting process. this is all as it should be. i've installed it once before.
but then it gets to 16%, and stop there, and does nothing. after a few seconds, my internet connection stops taking traffic from steam.
i have tried this with hl2 as well, and it gets to 20%, but stops there.
i have turned off my firewall, disable my virus protection, restarted windows, uninstalled steam, reinstalled steam. i can't think of anything else that i can do.
is anybody else having this problem? casn nebody help me?
