CSS: Ladders Help!!!

Ive created a map for css, and ive looked all over the net to try and find a CSS ladder tutorial. I found a hl2 one which spoke about fun_useableladder etc. i did that didn't work. I then sent my map to a friends whos an expert at hl2 maps he added one and sent it back that didn't work. So does that mean you do something different for CSS, and if so does anyone know how to do it??

Make a brush, CTRL-T, func_ladder. Use the tools/toolsnodraw or tools/toolsinvisibleladder texture if you want the ladder to be invisible (for instance, if you're making the ladder in front of a ladder model).
