I've been playing "coop" with a lot of my friends lately versus bots or versus each other. It's always had great ping times for me. If any of you hl2.netters wanna have a friendly game of css I'd be happy to play.

I get good ping times on the internet as well :p

So you pirated the game and are using LAN tunnelling to play online?

I can't think of any other reason why you'd want to tunnel an online game...

So they can play over LAN while not actually at each other's house?

Why would you want to play over LAN when the game has an Internet play option, which doesn't have pointless encryption in the background?

I assume it's easier to host a LAN server than a non-dedicated internet server, and guarantees no one else can join but friends.
Might be faster too, since LAN servers operate at 100tick.

Yeh but it still has to go through the internet to get their.

Might as well just password the server. And btw the original post made no mention of lan tunnelling.

Wow. Why again are people bitching? I've used Hamachi many times. It's nice to throw together a quick game.

Wow, was I just like flamed by 2 different people for having a "pirated" version of CSS?
I'm not even going to respond to that. What an idiotic assumption.

On another note, I just rigged my dedicated server for CS:S.
