Small_Sumo CSS player modeling Video tut

The much anticipated video tutorial on converting player models to css is out now, I must apologize though because of limited space on the PAF server at the moment I am only able to upload the smaller 35 meg video tut, the larger 185 meg tutorial will have to wait. Naturally the smaller tut doesn't have near the clarity of the bigger one so it might require some guesswork on your part. You can get it at www.smallsumo****. While your at the site and downloading the video remember to get the files that go with it, so thats two downloads, I didnt bundle them together because of the two different sized videos. As an example in the video I ported a 1.6 Laca ct model to css, as long as you get a mesh and some materials you can port over any model from any game useing this tutorial. Be sure to cred the original maker of the model if you port one over and release it.

Talk about any problems or show off any success at my forum.

Thanks all.

Link is abit bleh, is it .com or what? i tryed .com but it didnt work.

its . tk like in his sig :)

dling it now mate, ive been wondering what ive been doing wrong, hopefully this will explain it.

I have uploaded the large version of the movie so if you had a hard time with the smaller squinting eye version you can now download the 180 meg movie which is much easier to see. So many people asked me for this and I have had no real feedback yet so guys if your out there and you've converted some models or put one of your own models into css please post your success stories for us to see, I know I helped one guy put the d3 marine in css, show us yer stuff. Or if your having trouble please post your concerns or tell me what you might want explained next. I might do something on the textures next maybe. Some kind of follow-on.

Thanks bye.

:)

all ive been trying to do is put some shades on mr. terrorist, attatch them to the headbone and then convert it back into CSS. i dont know how to use studiomdl without the visual GUI so that doesnt help. i thought that by not touching the original bone and 'Skin' setup in max would make it easy. able to help?

I am unfamiliar with max but if you use the tut (remember to get the extra files) you should easily be able to add sunnys, hats, headcrabs whatever you like. Go to the head bone ask for assigned then with those verts sellected add your verts from the sunnys, assign all that to the head bone and export the smd, compile it and open it in modelviewer.
:)
