CSS Problems

Well, I've installed and played through HL2, and installed CSS at the same time, naturally. Trouble is, when I start CSS, it gets to the server refresh screen and seems to freeze. I get a strange sound stutter, and no server list seems to come up. Steam's given me all the patches, so what the hell could be up? Help.

If you are using a software firewall, ie, zonealarm, check that css has permision to send/recieve online.

when I first started I had forgotten about the crappy firewall that is built-in to windowsXP...
