Cubemap problems

I'm having some cubemap problems... Up to now, I've been building cubemaps through the game console (buildcubemaps) and its been working fine. Suddenly, it no longer works. It flies through the little "slideshow" faster than normal, and I'm left with everything reflecting the pink checkerboard. I also notice that when it builds the cubemaps, it says 'Reading unknown lump #49 (971553 bytes)' and 'Writingunknown lump #49 (971553 bytes)'

Any idea whats wrong?
 
valve broke the sdk again with this last update, it works somewhat for some people like me, but alot of people cant buildcubemaps at all, just wait for valve to fix the sdk, again...
 
Maybe they'll fix it in the next SDK release.

I got it working - I just had to reload the level. Never had to do that before, though.

I always tell people to reload the map after building cubemaps. It sometimes helps and sometimes does not.
 
I have a similar problem (cubemaps build, but then don't update the level), which USED TO be solved by reloading the map (or relaunching the game), but now doesn't work at all. I ONLY get the default cubemap everywhere now, no matter how many times I rebuild cubemaps, or reload the level/game.

Anyone else getting this issue? The SDK seems to have been broken for months. I can't compile using via batch anymore (for months now), and the cubemaps simply aren't working in my HL2DM map.
