Custom decals

Basically I have two questions:
1. Is it possible to make custom decals for use in Hammer
2. Can original HL2 maps be edited in Hammer?

Does anyone know?

#2 - You can't edit a .BSP-file. However, one of the hl2dm-maps, the prison one, comes with hammer in .vmf format. You can not edit the SP maps. Yet.

What do you mean by Yet?

VALVe may release some stuff later on, although doubtfully SP-stuff.
