Is there a way to use my custom models and sounds in 1.6? If so, how?

Below are some custom models I have in my CS 1.5 folder and use for on-line play. You can see why the default CS models look like crap to me.

YES, this is a half-life2 forum!

Once 1.6 is official you will be able to add custom models I imagine.. right now they are more concerned about getting Steam working before Half Life 2 comes out.. and of course finishing Half Life 2

Try putting the model files in

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamCache\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models

Let us know if it works.

I put some models in there to test it. Didn't work. I'll stick to 1.5 until they fix it. Playing thru Steam is too buggy right now anyway.
