CZ 1.2 only trough Steam?

Is there a place where I can download 1.2 for CZ, or do I have to get it trough Steam only?

Steam only, if you want to patch CZ and any other future VALVE games you will need Steam to do so...saves time that way..so they can work on HL2 more instead of having to worry about sending out the patch to multiple mirrors that may not even work anyway.

I hear you, but CZ is for those who wants a single player experience against bots, right?

Most people will probably buy CZ because they love CS, but also have a slow connection, or doesnt have internett at all.

Because of that I think its stupid to release patches for this game trough Steam.
