CZ:S Multiplayer compatible with CS:S ?

I emailed gabe newell and jess cliffe asking this question, but i have yet to get a reply

Condition Zero:S multiplayer should be the same thing as CS:S multiplayer, why have 3 different versions of multiplayer CS around...

CZ and CS are not compatible with eachother. I see no reason why CZ:S and CS:S would be compatible with eachother..
 
If they were compatible, why even have two seperate versions?

Unless you just mean CZ:S would be the only one to have the extra player model for each team and the new maps like Sienna, Fast Lane etc.

I hope they do a Source remake of Sienna cause that is a really good map.
 
Seinna is too tiny for my tastes.. you can't get to B as T really, and you're stuck planting on the steps at A

It sucks for T
 
Valve want ALL her games to be ported into Source but they cant get rid of CS1.6 cuz not everyone has a powerful PC to handle CS:S, HL2 etc but I do think that Valve want to port CZ into Source and to get rid of the old one (the one with the HL1 engine).
I know its offtopic but I didnt know where to post it...anyway, thats my thought.. ^^'
 
why would thye even bother with cz:s, what will be the difference between cz and cs:s, SERIOUSLY.

CZ:S will probably have bot match SP and remade DS.. plus better models
 
I would suppose the only difference would be the SP mode, plus one or two more maps.

I meant, since CZ and CS aren't compatible, I see no reason why CZ:S and CS:S would be (not from MY standpoint, but from how it's done)
 
There's no way the two will be multiplayer compatible. The netcode will be completely different (for the physics data, for example)

for gods sake why, CZ was CS with newer technology that they couldn't put in CS

and now they have the same stuff, and they want to make a Better versioN!?

They can't do it because CZ is a game built on the HL engine. CS:S is built on Source. It's like asking for a Quake mod to be compatible with a Quake 2 mod.
 
I don't understand why CZ is being ported over at all. If I'm correct, the reason of CZ was to add some newer features to CS that go along the graphics lines, I don't understand why you would need this with Source..

I guess we have to wait and see, they're probably gonna add something "special" :)

Showen in the footage of CS: S (at Korea etc.) all the CS maps has been re-done (diff. models, better textures, lighting effects, objects removed/changed, smaller/bigger tunnels etc.)

Now it is logical they will change CS: CZ completely just like CS...

I bought CZ some days ago (via Steam) but the AI isn't that good, when you play the missions (Deleted Scenes too) it just feel so 'scripted', yeah I know it is 100% scriped but when you look close at some parts of the game you can nearly see the enemy spawn!

I better hope they change CZ completely (AI of HL2 engine, better graphics, better lighing etc)

The question is will they do that? I mean Valve dev. the game with Ritual together. Do you think Ritual will put some employees on it to change CZ into a Source ported game?
 
Arghhhhh there are to many CS's!!!! CS1.5,CS1.6,CS:CZ/MP,CS:S,CS2....do we reallly need CS:CZ:S???It's getting ridiculous.

Agreed, coming from someone who purchased CZ, I don't think they 'owe' me by making a CS:CZ, I knew what I would get when I purchased CZ and I don't expect anything more.
 
Anything more than CS:S and maybe CS2 (as long as it is a whole new game and not another rehash) would suck. If you're going to convert CZ over to Source don't even bother with CS. If you're already converting CS over to Source just add what little extra CZ:S would offer into CS:S. Do we really need a whole separate game basically just for bots (that is, if they were supposed to be in CZ:S and not CS:S)? If anyone from Valve is reading this... please, make just one Source port of CS. For each extra Source port of CS I shall kill a kitten... and not one of those ugly, mean ones.
