i'm putting this in the cs:s forum cuz there is no cs 1.6 forum ;). anyway, when i set the video mode to opengl, everything is fine but when i set it to d3d, my mouse becomes extremely unresponsive and slow (if i move the mouse over to the right, about 2 seconds later, my gun will move to the spot). how do i fix this?

cuz, cs:s is coming soon and it only runs in d3d. so i wanna be prepared for it

Umm.. they are different engines.

You cannot prepare for one by playing a certain mode on the other.

Playing CS 1.6 in D3d will only help lower your peformance in CS... It won't do you any good in CS:Source

It's to do with threading they told me, and some applications causing strange threading behaviours that leads to the input being given low priority.

They also said that this has been fixed in Source by adding a few lines of code that overrides the default threading.
