Daemon Tools WhenUSave Installer.exe

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here so I come to you with a problem.

I have just formatted my PC and installed Daemon Tools. Now it asks me to install this adware every time I log on, I just block it with my firewall!

How can I remove it ?

You could get Windows Defender (anti-spyware) or Ad-Aware (anti-spyware) etc.

I agree. You have a problem with ADWARE / DAEMON TOOLS, yet you decided to join a HL2 website? THIS was what you decided was your BEST option? Bizzare.

I have always wanted to join the HL2.net community but I wanted join with a problem, rather than joining here with a "Hello" thread.

Anyway, I dont think I want to download any antispyware programs, since I already have F-Secure, and its the best AV/AntiSpyware.

Anyway, I will become a permanent member of these forums now

Next time you install something, read everything in the installer... including that little check box that wouldent have put that adware on your computer.

The thing is its only the latest Daemon tools which has adware in it. I wasnt aware of this

1)Click Start, Run then type msconfig
2)Click the Startup tab and uncheck the offending item
3)Restart computer

Be aware that there is nothing in this tab that requires it is left on, any necessary programs will automatically start up again via Windows Startup.

on my old PC when I got spyware, I usually just would go a reformat.
