Tempe Town Lake is gone LOL
Idiots were told to keep the rubber dams from overheating too! The town refused to maintain the dams and now they're surpised by this
Tempe is the home of ASU (Sun Devils) and the Salt River flows from tempe all the way west through Phoenix
The video below is old (last night). Nearly a billion gallons drained and made a giant torrent of water rushing down the normally dry Salt River!

Bridgestone Industrial Products said it warned Tempe for more than a decade that the rubber dam that failed Tuesday night needed to be kept cool and moist with a sprinkler system or "overtopping'' water to compensate for the Valley's severe heat and sunlight.
But Bridgestone spokesman Don Darden said the sprinkler system on the dam had not been used since last summer, and was not in use this summer, because of Tempe's plans to replace the dam. The company manufactured the dam's components.
Tempe Councilwoman Onnie Shekerjian said the council was told the sprinklers weren't being used because "they didn't work the way they were supposed to" and were not adequately bathing the dam's surface to keep it cool.
Hours after the bladder burst, Tempe and Bridgestone began pointing fingers at each other over the sprinkler issue
