Just when gas was going down ($1.20/Liter), hurricane ike comes along and now gas has shot up over 13 cents a liter since midnight, it's now around $1.36/Liter where we were about 2 months ago. Honestly, I can understand gas companies hiking up their prices due to a hurricane, but what is going to piss me off is that they won't lower it until months later even when there is MINIMAL or NO DAMAGE done to the refineries.
Honestly, some people have to commute long distances everyday and using public transportation or car pooling is either not possible or extremely time consuming. Oil has been down like what $45 in the last 2 months and it's now around $100/barrel...so why the HELL are prices still so high?? Why is it that gas companies are quick to hike up the prices when oil goes up but when it goes down they take like 20 years to go down. **** the gas companies, ****ing greedy ****s.
