Damn good prices on the 9800 Pro!!!

Wich one to get out of those?

I wish I could...but i'm gettin a new mobo and CPU...anyway I think my 9600pro would play HL2 anyday :D
 
Yea ofcource it will, the 9600 pro was the one i was originaly supose to get but the 9800 pro is just 100 buck more on the net so i really want that card now..BAD!
 
299$ is a great price for a 9800pro. When the GeForce 3 first came out I managed to get one for 99$ from circuit city due to an error with their computer checkout system.

yeah, it was pure luck. I got a total idiot checkout guy and the computer read the GeForce 3 as a different card (TNT 2 I think). I almost ran out of the store thinking they would catch the error and make me pay full price. That particular store is notorius for that though. A friend once told me he saw the 9800pro there for 149$ (although I never saw it).
 
Heres what ya do. Go to walmart or another non computer store that sells computer stuff. Buy a radeon 9800pro and install it in comp. Take old vid card (preferably an ATI) and put it in 9800 box. return to the store and you get a free 9800pro! Well thats what my friend did anyway. If they ask just be like "Oh shit, i must have put the old one in the box by mistake."

lol i did that with my faulty ms intellipoint optical mouse. think they would fall for it if i put my geforce2mx in its place lol
 
when i see all you guys telling how much you did pay for your old cards.. i come to think of that Geforce 2 MX 400 is the best card that i have ever had in my life... and by that i mean that ive never bought a new card because of the stupid reason (tomorrow it'll come out a newer one..)
But now i've ordered a 9800 PRO !

Nothing will stop me from playing HL2!! (not even my mom =)

Most of those places are internet stores. After looking through it that 289$ place dosnt look good. It isnt rated at all. And I didnt see that every other store was atleast 100$ more than that.

Bizrate is still pretty cool.
 
i remember i returned an audigy 2 to a compusa, they never opened it up and checked for anything at all, however i did use a credit card to buy it and it took a few days for them to credit it back, they couldve opened it up during that time, who knows :)
