Well, i'm currently holding a friend's 2 cats at my house, feeding them and whatnot indefinately. They're outside cats, since they don't like to be potty trained and have other bad habits.
Things were going fine for a while, but then this damn raccoon shows up, and starts bullying them for their food. He slinks in, they don't pay him much attention... but then he kind of shoves them out of the way(literally) and starts eating their food. The cats don't bother him.
2 Cats, one golden, one kinda black and white. But they don't wanna mess with this raccoon, and I wouldn't either. Heh.
I'm trying to think up some solutions for it, but since I don't want to kill it, i'm rather limited :cheese:
I heard that raccoons can't jump (White men can't jump!). So I was thinking of building an elevated feeding platform, but thats more work than I wanna do(yeah, i'm lazy) for cats that aren't even mine.
But. I did take some pics of the raccoon. The little bugger was all cautious as he ate, watching in case I tried to make any moves on him. lol
The images aren't the greatest quality(i'm still learning how to get the best out of my Fujifilm finepix s5000 digital camera I bought over a year ago.).
Raccoon 1
Raccoon 2
Raccoon 3
Raccoon 4
I also have a little video footage of it, but I don't know how to compress it. Heh. 26 seconds, about 15 megabytes.
I also had a opossum doing the same thing, later at night.
