A 41-year-old man was arrested on Monday at Madeira Beach after witnesses said he repeatedly pretended to drown, then allegedly began tossing jellyfish at nearby teenagers. According to a sheriff's office report, Keith Edward Marriott caused "concern for his safety" when he repeatedly submerged himself and floated back to the top of the water. He was also "loud and disruptive."

He then started throwing the sea creatures.

man that guy is spineless

Isn't tossing jellyfish an olympic sport?

I thought to myself, "Maybe he's finally lost it." Thread is somewhat disappointing because of that.

hey I'll be glad to chuck jellyfishes at you Darkside

I appreciate the gesture, but I no longer fit the criteria of being a teenager, all jokes about mentality not withstanding.

just use the teen who's currently tied up in your closet as a stand in

awww, where's the good ending in which the guy gets stung 400 times and torn apart by sharks...let down.

Whatever do you mean?

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A 41-year-old man was arrested on Monday at at Madeira Beach after witnesses said he repeatedly pretended to drown, then allegedly began tossing jellyfish at nearby teenagers. According to a sheriff's office report, Keith Edward Marriott caused "concern for his safety" when he repeatedly submerged himself and floated back to the top of the water. He was also "loud and disruptive."

He then started throwing the sea creatures.

Marriott was overcome by a large wave and swept out to sea. Away from the relative safety of the shore, Marriott was unable to defend himself against the sea creatures. He was stung 400 times. Parts of his body swelled to several times their usual size, including his sex organ which exploded. The blood from this explosion attracted sharks. Reports indicate that the pocket knife was too blunt to hurt the sharks, and in fact the knife closed on Marriott's finger, causing him to shout "Son of *****. Damn thing always ******* does that".

The sharks tore Marriott's body apart. He's now being held in several jails on a $250 bond.

 That was really good.

It is good! And it's strange, I posted a long response where actually the guy was surrounded by jellyfish on a diving trip a few years ago and inducted into their hive mind and then sent to the surface to help them make war on the human race by throwing jellyfish at them, but it seems to have disappeared.

That's a shame. I'd totally waste five minutes reading it. It would be like an alternate-universe sequel to Farrow's post.
