Dark Energy: I'm so stuck

Okay I'm stuck at that point in Dark Energy where I had to kill the two big ships with my gravity gun. and I'm supposed to stop some guy from teleporting somewhere and some chick keeps saying "go, go" and then like 20 seconds later it says I fail. and I don't have any idea where to go. can anyone help me?

You must have entered the test chamber really late if by the time you're at the top you've only got 20 seconds left to kill Breen. And the chick is Alyx. Did you skip the entire story?

Anyway, since I think you're at the top already, just use the only destructive long-range weaponary that is at your disposal to blow the crap out of the teleporter. Problem solved.

Err, aren't the two gunships at the top, as in AFTER you have gone up all the elevators?

You have to shoot the revolving core shield away, then shoot the core. Use the energy balls for all this. Also, googling for a walkthrough or being more specific about where you are, what you have just done, would have got it solved a bit quicker for you.

I personally never ask a "I'm stuck" question on a forum, and absolutely do not understand people that do. It can take ages to get an answer, and people can easily get confused as to what part you are up to. I always google for a walkthrough, so I can be 100% sure that I get the right advice for the part I'm up to, AND I don't have to wait for someone to reply before I can continue my game. Also people can be very unclear with their help - "just get the thing, and go through the door!" - "Err, WHAT door? There's doors. And what thing?"... And so on. It cans take days to get the same info that a walkthrough would have given you in seconds.

When the ships come, ignore them. Concentrate on stopping Dr Breen escaping. Just use the ball things and blast loads of them at the energy beam core. The gunships will explode when Breen's ship crashes.
