Dark Tranquillity

Haha, just discovered Dark Tranquillity, usually i dont like this kind of style but these are awsome. So far ive only heard Hours Passed in Exile and Monochromatic Stains. And both are amazing, their other songs how are they ?

Hehe, im 17 and id call myself new to music. Ive been listening to Iron Maiden for years and still not tired of them, maybe because i dont try new music so often. But my friend told me about DT and few other bands and i fell in love with DT =D

Dark Tranquillity are a fantastic band. They're melodic death metal, however, not just plain death. They've changed their style quite a bit in 13-15 years that they've been around, but never so that they could appeal to a mass market (Ahem, In Flames and Soilwork). Anyway, those two songs are from their newer album 'Damage Done', which is much more aggressive than their earlier work. If you like those songs go straight on and get the rest of the album, I can't fault a single song on it - a good starting point would be 'White Noise/Black Silence', 'I, Deception' and 'Final Resistance'. Their newest album, Character, is also excellent (highlights being 'Dry Run', 'The New Build', 'Through Smudged Lenses' and 'Out of Nothing'). You might want to check out some of their older work, so try finding Projector, The Gallery and Haven for that.
