That's incredibly bleak and hopeless... I like it. The ultimate relief among a twisted and terrifying world is actually just as sick and demented as anything else.

My only criticisms would be to make the horizon more definable to the right of the tree (it seems to disperse into a vague blur rather than an intriguing mystery), and maybe to make the sky darker on the left, to emphasise the tree's shadow and where the light is coming from.
