Has anyone tried it yet? You can download it via Steam and it is playable until the weekend iirc. I have read mixed previews about this game, but since it's free it won't hurt to try I guess.

Pfff, what a lackluster effort. It is basically the dull hack & slash gameplay from the creature phase in Spore. It looks very bland. The story seems to be a very long winded excuse to use an editor. A very limited editor as well I might add (unless the full game gives you more options). Right now you get preset 'Heroes' that can only be cosmetically changed. I guess they didn't want hundreds of penis monsters running around in multiplayer. All in all not worth the download in my opinion.

Pretty much all of this. Really reminded me of X-men Legends more than Diablo because you have only a handful of skills and they're not really that exciting... plus you don't have the awesomness that X-men inherently possess. I was hoping for more with Maxis since they had such great things from my childhood... but it really just isn't that good. What surprises me the absolute most is that they want FIFTY bucks for this shit... and they're sellin it in a four pack... good luck finding three people that would be willing to play this for more than an hour -_-

Are people really looking for another hack and slash type isometric rpg? I mean yeah... DOTA stuff is still pretty hot, but this doesn't even have that element... They certainly went all out trying to make it look nice and threw in plenty of videos, but it's just one of those stories you yawn at wondering when you can get back to the mediocre click-click-click of the gameplay. I guess this is what EA's pumping out now.

Four player co-op can be a lot of fun when it's a quality game... like Magicka's combination of silly humor and spells that most likely result in killing yourself and all your friends... or Left 4 Dead's teamwork triumph... but this game just feels like they took a boring single player game and put three other people on the screen. I felt just as comfortable running off from my team as I did fightining beside them. Like I said this is just an expensive way to cash in on the popularity of similar titles... zero innovation and reimplemenation of some tired concepts = boring.
