Who here daisy chains thier power connectors?

I wish i didn't have to....but for now.... well.... lets say if one thing died, i proberly lose all my case fans as well....

i dont, my PSU has plenty of connectors.

I don't. I have at least 6 connectors on my new UPS which has a long power cord.

I have before at small LANs. We've had 3 PCs daisy chained off each other one time. lol

I usually avoid it but for things like optical drives and fans, I don't bother.

Ha. yes PSU connectors...I don't chain those either.

I've tried not to, I have two leads dedicated to supplying drives and graphics, and the third deals with the less important stuff (neon, fanbus)

There's plenty of plugs though, so I dont have to daisychain - although before I had the fanbus I had to daisychain the chassis fans (4 of them)

Sounds like my power supply sucks. I have stuff daisy chained everywhere in my computer. Two optical drives on 1 connector; another optical drive, 2 fans , and a floppy drive on another connector, and 2 harddrives on a yet another connector.

I haven't had any problems yet with power supply, but I am getting another one so I can make sure everything is powered properly and still have a connector for a video card upgrade in the future. Check out this bad boy.

First let me applogize for being such a noob.

And then let me ask, wth is daisy chaining?

See my previous post. :D

Basically it is using a 4 pin power connector and hooking more than 1 thing to it. Example, using a power connector to power 2 optical drives would be called daisy chaining.

many fans come with a double ended connecter, so that makes it much easier to dasiy chain....

Wow, I have daisy chains hooked up to other daisy chains in one big ass PC mambo! I think every component in my case is daisy chained to everything else. Wow. One power surge and my shit blows up!
