dawn of war please help...

hello..maybe you guys have run into the same problem as I did...me and my friend were trying to play warhammer dawn of war together and he tried to connect to my computer via an ip address and he keeps coming up with an error message that says his connection timed out immediatly after he tried to join..please help...any suggestion would be helpful thank you.

So.. did he have the right IP?

Are you behind a firewall? Did you give the right port?

You aren't giving him an IP address that's like 192.168.1.1 are you?

if you are thats a private ip, your computers ID on your network
