People on CS:S are saying that we will be able to get de_aztec as a map tommorrow. Does anyone know anythign abotu this?

I was playing CS:S while Cliffe arrived into the server I was playing. I wasn't sure it was him but he told us that the next update was tomorrow (friday). And Saturday morning I wake up and there is a CS:S update... He also said that they were going to release Aztec but he didn't say when because he was kicked for being afk too long lol. Not so sure about that, he had an average ping of 20 and we were playing on a NYC server. You live in the netherlands, I think your ping would have been higher and if it was really you, what simple question did you ask us?

I have a hard time believing a 20 ping would be plausible from the other side of the US. Regardless of their 239843210284mpbs connection

Indeed it would, it'd give us a bit of much needed variety in the BETA tbh. As much as I love dust, and can actually manage to play it for 4 hours a day, it'd still be nice to have something different.

Second one for sure. One guy asked him with his mic if they were going to release any maps for the beta and he said that aztec was going to be available for the public, in a very civilized way.

I had someone with a name along the lines of Valve Beta Tester 122 or something. He seemed pretty believeable as well and said some interesting things... Could of easily been a fake, but only time will tell.

Everyone here is forgetting the point of CS:S Beta. Gabe said the whole purpose was to test performance and stability and get bug reports. With de_dust, the only portion of the game that they cannot have tested is water, which is such a small thing that they can bug test/get info for it in a closed beta or even by themselves.
