** de_Fear ** Sneak Preview Trailer (feedback appreciated)

A month ago I started a project. I wanted to create my very first Counter-Strike : Source map. I downloaded hammer, started reading tutorials... and learned.

I present to you de_fear. Here's a sneak preview at :

Click on Enter The Site, choose the movie on the left, and zoom-in to 200% using the menu on the left again.

Yes, I know, I need a host for the movie so please let me know if you can host the file.

Some of you may know this map as de_industrial. The trailer might give you a good indication as to why I changed the map's name.

There goes hopping it's not too dark..!

**Please** leave your feedback, you have no idea how important it is to me. Also keep in mind it's my very first map, and I am still learning.

I wish I could have showed more, but fraps' trial limits you to 30 seconds of footage.

TO be completely honest, I think that hallway would look better arched. Oh and some of your props don't really make any sense.

The trainyard looks good though. Good job man.
 
Can you use hl2dm props and textures in CS and vice-versa, or does it force more load times for downloading on clients?

Nice stuff man, I know what it's like working on a first, I'm doing the same. I'd have to agree though that some of the props feel.. random?
 
That looks really cool for a first map dude. Nice work. I like the lighting. Dark, but not too dark, so you can still see all that blood on the ground :p.

I also love the effect of hanging dog over the fence and putting in that Beware Of Dog sign. Very funny :)
 
Displacementmapping. Especially on the outdoor area where there's a crashpod. Make it look like terrain and make it look like that thing actually crashed there (I do think it'd create a crater).
 
a bit ott with the spraystuff and the props.. I could tell it was your first map.
 
i think that it has too much stuff around- try to remove some props and make a bit more open areas: u can't shot people if u get constantly stuck
but lightning is great- not too dark, not to bright
