Has anyone seen the ads on Channel Four in the UK for this, it looks ****ing awesome, check out the trailer:-

More trailers and stuff on the official site:-

The premise is this:-

Britain has a big problem. The dead are returning to life and attacking the living. The people they kill get up and kill ? and it?s spreading like wildfire. Curiously, there are a few people left in Britain who aren?t worried about any of this ? that?s because they?re the remaining contestants in Big Brother. Cocooned in the safety of the Big Brother house, they?re blissfully unaware of the horrific events unfolding outside. Until an eviction night when all hell breaks loose.

Kelly, (Jaime Winstone) the production runner working on Big Brother finds herself caught in the impossible position of trying to fend off the walking dead alongside the remaining housemates, Davina herself, a host of former Big Brother housemates, her producer boss Patrick (Andy Nyman) and boyfriend Riq (Riz Ahmed).

Over the ensuing days, in a cruel reflection of the game show they thought they were entering, the contestants fall victim, one by one, to the hungry masses outside. Staying alive requires teamwork ? which is tricky when you?re a group specifically selected by TV producers to wind each other up.

Here's a spoiler picture involving the death of one of the characters, gory by the way :D

Written by the guy who did that cool TV show thing... yeah... that made sense.

It should be awesome.

Had my eye on this for a while now (posted about it a month back or so) because I'm really looking forward to it. It's about time something horror-like was shown as a series on TV.

It's about time someone seriously harmed Davina McCall! Looks OK, same old again...but with the Big Brother edge. I dislike BB so much perhaps that will become my foundation of love for it?

Why isn't there a thread?

This is the best thing ever.

EDIT: Sulkdodds - I'm you! From the future! There isa thread, but you didn't notice it, so I merged 'em.

EDIT2: k.

Ohh... I didn't really pick that up from the trailer, to be honest.

Impenetrable British accents.

[edit] 'Flim derr fooking appsill vomkd! Thurr did thurr did ommah gad thurr did!'

Oh, its everynight? Awesome! :D

Last nights ep was pretty good. The ending was brutal!

Uhh... I'd say yes, to sound cool, but to be honest I have no clue what what you just said means. Do enlighten me.

WHAT TIME IN THE VIDEO DOES THIS INCIDENT OCCUR

I was calling your bluff, because you made it up, didn't you?

Ohhh. 4:34.

I was just making text-based approximations of British accent tomfoolery.

As a colony of Britain you'd think we'd understand your convoluted mouth noises, but no.

Was gonna watch this. Then found out I was gonna be out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday night so didn't see much point. But you guys have convinced me to track it down on 4oD.

Will report back later! <3

Got the DVD of Play.com, is being packed as I speak.

I've managed to catch all the aired episodes of this, the final one is tomorrow. Im honestly impressed, its all very enjoyable, and seems to have avoided a surprising number of cliches. Loved the first episode in particular.

I hope they pull off a decent ending.

Loved her going crazy on that zombie with the axe in last nights episode, oh, and the producer disemboweling on of the contestants. Gruesome.

Doesn't look very good, sorry limies. But who knows, maybe it's unique.
I'm rather sick of all the redundant zombie stuff.

2004-2009, The Rise and Fall of Zombies IMO.

I think you need to be aware of UK big brother and such to get alot of the references, otherwise its by the numbers zombie stuff, its not such a bad mini-series for halloween, if nothing else its quite entertaining seeing reality tv contestants getting eaten.

Wasn't a bad mini-series to be honest. Really enjoyed it. Some of the decisions the characters made were stupid though.

Dead Set had some really brutal zombie kills in it, some of the best I've seen.

Not bad, Channel 4. Not bad.

If nothing else, it's very, acidly funny.

At least I thought so - maybe this is going to be like Harold Pinter plays, where I laugh throughout and others stare at me.

The main two things that distinguished it from other zombie stuff are a) its TV trappings, which are more than just for show, and b) its constant, acid wit. I'd deem it worth getting hold of.

It was a heap load better than Land and Diary of the Dead - not that that alone says very much. Nice and gory and pretty funny :)
