Deadache was released this week. First listening I was kind of underwhelmed until Evilyn, which was kind of disappointing since SCG IV makes it sound like the entire album is going to be holy crap awesome. Deadache (the song) was great, and Missing Miss Charlene is an amazing track--the best on the album--but the rest of the songs had to grow on me. Songs like Monsters Keep Me Company and Dr. Sin Is In sound a lot better after successive listening. Girls Gone Chopping is even growing on me, and I considered it the Biomechanical Man of the album.
The Finnish version has a great cover of "The House Without a Name." Japanese version comes with Beast Loose in Paradise, off Lordi's horror movie Dark Floors. They really should've included the song in all versions and used it as the single instead of Bite It Like a Bulldog, because that song's just too good. Someone stole Dark Floors from my local video store and I'm sure that song was at least half their motivation for doing so.
So, any other Lordi fans going to pick this one up/already listening to it?
