I just want to thank all of you for being the people that make up this great forum (as well as making it a great forum). The past few weeks, I hit a bump in life that caused me to fall into a deep depression, in which I didn't think I'd recover. It was with the help of many posts and threads on the forum, as well as Steam chats with Corp.Sheepo, Emporius, and Hectic Glenn that made me realize how stupid it was to keep going on depressed. Such examples of posts that made me feel better were Pesmerga with his overused Kermit picture, AHA-Lambda posting the Zero Punctuation reviews, Willie and the amazing amount of sex jokes he makes, along with many others. You guys really helped cheer me up, and I must say, I don't know about the rest of you but I always look forward to logging on to the .nets just to get a good laugh.

So fellow members, moderators, staff, writers, and editors-
Thank you for making HL2.net such a wonderful place to visit.

Depressed people depend on the people around them, my mother has depression so I learned a lot from it, and suffered a lot when I was younger... the first 10 or so years of my life were hard... It was never supposed to be like that. Thank god things are better these days, she is fine, and she is a wonderful person, I love her a lot.

This forum does manage to cheer me up whenever I'm feeling bummed out.(Qonfy and I used to be bum buddies back in the hay day of the BF2 demo days and then some and had great laughs over xfire, but we stopped that after a while for some reason.)

And I've found new forms of music(post-rock ftw) that I listen to regularly now thanks to nearly everybody that frequents the music forum.(VictimOfScience and TheAntipop specifically.)

I've read fascinating books that I would've never thought to check out.

I was introduced to the wonderful world indie games thanks to this forum.

I saw movies I never would've bothered to check out.

I got schooled in the lessons of politics thanks to Stern and company.

Seriously, this forum is so damn diverse that my head should explode, it keeps me very up to date with news... I usually read about it here first and then it's on the news/in newspapers a day or two later!

Best forum I've ever had the pleasure of signing up with.
