ii was getting that bollocks memory could not be read error for ages when playing anything to do with half life 2 or usually it would just rrestart my pc or bsod, tried everything nothing worked
so i got a new psu and motherboard and everything was working perfectly for the past week now i get the error and i cant play anymore wtf just spent £200 for no ****ing reason
any ideas?

Most of the time memory read errors isn't a hardware problem, it's usually software just being a pain in the ass and not reading the memory, not the memory not allowing the software to read it (if you follow) Try reinstalling and updating a few drivers, or re-download the game.
