Has anyone here ever heard of the band Death? It's not satanic or anything, it's just really heavy, but it has a beautiful lead guitar and the music is very true. The band isn't well known because the lead singer, Chuck Shuldiner, died a few years back of a brain tumor. This band really brought the death metal scene into the spot light. I think some of you guys would really like the music if you gave it a shot. The lead signer/lead guitarist was very philosophical, but he spoke the truth. The best way that I can describe the music is in 2 words: Soul shattering.

Here is some songs from Death that you should check out:

Spirit Crusher
Bite the pain (Fav song)
To forgive is to suffer
Painkiller (Judas Priest Cover)
A moment of clarity
Crystal Mountain
Symbolic
Zero Tolerance
Scavenger of Human Sorrow
Empty Words

So can you guys check out some of the songs and get back to me with what you think? This is one of those bands that never had an image to sell, it was all about the music. My favorite song is bite the pain, it just always speaks so true to me. :bounce:

Death was a great band, and way ahead of their time. I'm more of a black metal fan, but Death will always be respected in my book. Hell, I smoked to a mix with Death on it just the other night... hehe :farmer:

Haha, that's so bullshit. Death is a very famous band.

Yes, and also a band called Control Denied (which is related to Death somehow, I forget). I listened to their CD, my friend's brother has it...

I also have a few songs by them.

Death is awesome, my brother got one of their cds and I've liked them ever since....
