I am coming from a Sony MDR-NC6 headphone set and the right part of it got really messed up. I can hardly hear any sound coming from it, so I need new headphones.

I am looking to spend $50 max for something obviously decent and I need some recommendations. I like this one I currently use, but, I am open to new suggestions. Also, I like this noise canceling jumbo headphone makers throw in too, so if possible something with noise canceling too.

F*ck headphones, use some speakers.

Headphones hurt my ears after a short period of time.

These Bose headsets are probably the best headphone sets in the world. You can probably get a better price if you don't buy from this link though.

I bought some of these because they were cheap and sound good. $15.00 at Wal-Mart. These headphones won an award for their simulated 3D surround sound. They have much better sensitivity than the great sounding Creative headphones that came with my MP3 player. Those Creative ones finally died in one ear. They are more efficient/louder at less volume levels), and have a very clean sound and tight bass.

They come in white and black, and that end-piece with the phillips logo is actually chrome, not silver.

I haven't heard a better sounding pair of headphones before. For the money, they would be very hard to beat.

The cord is a fair length, though may need an extension if you want to use them at home, depending on your setup. I dropped one of mine in my drink, and it still works. They have been repackaged recently, and snow come with a case an alternate sized set of the tips that hold them in your ear.

A headphone selection at Wal-Mart. For some reason, the headphones I described aren't listed on their web-site, but they carry them in the stores where I live.
