Dell expands AMD deal

If this is true then it will be really good for AMD.
Before they just released an Opteron based server.

They are talking about expanding that and having Laptop/Desktop models.
Will help AMD weather any storm made by Conroe.

Wonder if we will see a Dell TV ad with an AMD cpu.

At the moment I think they have increased production quite a bit just by making what they have more efficent (30% or something if I remember right). I know they also have a new Fab ready to go for 65nm and another deal just went through for a fab in New York. Do they have another deal for a Fab in Germany?

I think the fact that Intel got rid of big price discounts makes a big difference. Plus there is another Intel customer to be getting favoritism with new releases (apple).

AMD has been creating fabs like mad. Like once a week it seems like I look at the inq and I see "AMD and "New" and "Fab" in the same sentence.
