demo/movie .wav file 44kb?

When I make a demo, then make a movie, i get the tga's but the .wav file is only 44kb and programs aren't recognizing it.. it doesn't matter how long the movie is, it always creates a 44kb file that says it's a .wav, but won't do nothin'.
