Interesting.. I think all the Source games have this now, because there was an update today, now all of my Source games are at 99%....

I tried it... Stuff did seem blurry kinda far away, but I didn't see where it would change at all... Also, it seemed like everything was shaking... Then once I shot, it would be fine....

Hopefully it's not my ATI 9800 Pro that's at fault.

Just a weeeee bit more than mere blurryness there. :)

Check yourself.



If you can't see a difference then there is something wrong with your eyes. Look at the push car and the light - It's not as sharp. And the sparks in the back are fuzzed a bit, too.

K, it's not actually DOF, it's more of the Color-Correction Overlay.
 
Well of course theres going to be something wrong with me eyes at 3am or whatever it was when i looked at it first .. they are literally shut :p
 
They really shouldn't call it Friends beta anymore, I mean there is so many things they are testing right now. Oh and btw once this beta is released to the public Favorites/History works nicely. They updated on Thursday and it gave the fix then.

I can see the difference. But why add mipmapping now? It's old technology. Very old, tbh.

i couldnt see a difference in the screenshots.....but when i played css and turned it on i could totally tell, cant really tell a difference in HL2 or DODS though, just CSS. still i like it.
 
Awesome cool! This isn't that useful, but it's still damned unique.
Agree with Drack on the Predator mode.
 
You need to have the friends beta, colorcorrectionui in your own server with sv_cheats 1 activated, that should do it.
 
I tried colorcorrectionui without having the friends beta and it did nothing. Thanks.

I mean I tried it without friends beta before you told me and it didn't work, but now I downloaded friends beta and it works so thank you.
