Just some graphics work of mine i'd like to show off.

If I make any new banners or sigs I'll probably post them in here too. Feedback is like, teh great.

I like the way you merge the photos into the poster- most of them look rather good. I especially like this one, because of the contrast between the silouette and the darkening sky. It almost represents that the world is fading into night without the brilliance of a sunset, because from the woman's perspective, she is corrupting the world without glamour. But then again that's probally me just looking too far into the picture's meaning again... I do that a lot.

Just to say- why didn't you use capital "i"s? Was that for effect or just a mistake? Come to think of it, you haven't used capital letters anywhere. I think you should change this, as it doesn't really add any meaning or effect, it just looks like you can't use punctuation...

I do it for effect. Most of my stuff represents something a little twisted, so I suppose the text reflects that. Now that you mention it, I do kinda have a thing for...

I like your analysis. Very interesting - interpret things however you like, that the point, isnt it?

You have good use of type placement but I thin you could use some more contrasting sizes. (and possibly more fonts, but it's hard to differentiate with small images on a small screen) The images are quality though. I'm not much for tons of Photoshop work but it's all very smooth. On the Jane piece, I find the effect around the silhouette a little distracting. That may be for emphasis, but the rest of the piece has a more solid feel.

You might want to push for some more variety in your work, however I realize that this is probably just a small sample of the whole. It's not like you were posting this as a portfolio so I don't mean to judge it as one. Keep up the good work.

It's not a complete portfolio. A lot of what I showed were just some of my favorites, which I agree, kinda share a lot of similiar qualities. Hopefully by posting more of my work you guys might find a little diversity amongst them.

That one was intentionally done as a joke, I admit it's absolutely terrible, but I swear, to a Halo theme midi in the background, its moving.

I think it would help if you listed what the application for some of these were. The dvd menu was obvious, but I think some of them could use labeling.

I mean what application (not program) do these have? What would they be used for or are they just for fun? I'm not trying to be picky. It's quality work, so I'm just wondering about the possible uses.

For the most part, my time on boards has made for good practice in graphics. The great majority of these banners are used in my signatures in other message boards. Some of these were per request for other people to use, most of them are just different aliases of mine. A smaller portion is site layouts - most my own, though the soft-rains.net is operated by a friend of mine. 'Promotional material' for my own websites, or they're just for fun/to show off.

Just all kinds of things, really. Though in the end it just comes down to me wanting to tinker around in photoshop.

OMFG you are leik, teh ownage with sigs n such. Seriously man that is some amazing work you have there. Everything is so artistic, and it's genius the way you come up with the things. Something I could never do... but im 17, i can still learn
