OMFG.... it even has backstory, and a fairly decent one for an FPS... i wasn't too intrigued before, but now i'm hella interested
 
After reading that, I think it'll definately be the gameplay that does it for me. The storyline seems decent, but I can't shake the feeling that it's really just filler and that the player will inevitably enter the underworld, plant some generic bomb in the 'heart' of their underground lair -- creating a generic oversized explosion -- resulting in a generic victory against evil, but not before our generic action hero makes a generic escape back to the surface. I hope this isn't the case.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but Gears of War is a third-person shooter, no?
 
Yup. Same Camera angle as RE4. (And what a great camera angle it is)
 
superb! absolutly superb, I am recognising some work of concept artist's I know, hawkprey for example, the man is bloody talented, amazing work. the art and story does it for me! Cant cloody wait, will this come out on pc to?

It's an Xbox360 exclusive for now - whether it comes to the PC is anyone's guess.

I remember the dev guy, Cliff Bleszinski, say that it would also come out on PC. However, I haven't heard anyone else mention it. I believe he said it during an interview with some people from IGN and G4tv.(E3)

They've pretty much quashed any PC speculaton for now by saying that they're focusing on the 360 for the time being. J Allard from MS said that he's "cool" with the idea of a PC version - just don't count on seeing it for some time.
 
Absolutely incredible!

The sheer detail, energy and thought put into every aspect of this thing is astounding. This universe that they're working on has a very cohesive, and interesting design from a visual standpoint as well. Before I saw this, I was kinda "meh" on this one, but good God in heaven it's gonna rock!
 
CliffyB is one of my top ten designers.
 
Cant wait for Gears of War to come to PC!
