Devil may cry was one of my favorite PS2 games. It completely rocked, from the gun toting shoot-em up action to the hack and slash, uber combo moves. Then they went and made a sequel that completely iscolated the plot and made the previous story make no sense at all. The story was suddenly awful, the combos and moves bland, the level design appauling. not only that but it was twice as short as devil may cry, INCLUDING the two characters (especially as the levels were usually the same), and yet thy put it on two discs. They ONLY did this because they wanted people to think it was worth the money.
dammit i hate it when they kill a game. DMC was a really good one, too. needless to say i'll never touch the series again. DMC2 scarred me for life.
And i saw an earlier trailer, the fact that its a prequel just adds to the annoyyance. they completely f*cked up what happenned after DMC and now theyre gonna do the same job for what happenned before it. Not only that but dante actually looks COOLER and has MORE MOVES than when he is older... is it just me or is that bullshit?
seriously, why cant they choose one story and STICK to it? why keep jumping around the place? is it that hard?

The good news, the same team who made DMC1 is making DMC3, and bad news, its a Pre-quel as previously noted. but that not withstanding, it will still pwn all. i hope its considerably longer then the first. the action in DMC was non-stop when confronted with multiple enemies. i especially loved juggling the enemies in mid air with the guns. also the weapons/moves and such have alot more depth. i can't wait for this game. im anticipating this game as much as MGS3, Killzone, GT4, and GTA: SA.
BTW: the titles i just listed should convince even the pope to go out and buy a Ps2... :thumbs:

Dante's younger in the prequel, so you can assume he'll have more moves, catch-phrases etc. etc. etc.
