DICE Defends Later PC Release of Battlefield 1943

Well, at least it wouldn't be as bad as I was expecting. Regeneration would piss me off, and upping player counts are good.

If they up the player limit to 64 it will be well worth it. I can't imagine playing wake island with 12 people per team. With 5 cap points thats 2 people per point.

That's why I hate servers out there on BF2. Wake Island 16 players MAX POINTS...gah, so boring.

Hmm, NOW I am getting interested in this...

EDIT: Whoops, forgot about the 3 classes and unlimited ammo :(

I dont understand why they included that.

If they remove these, the gameplay will still be dumbed down(from the class system/infinite ammo I heard about when BF1943 was first announced), but it might actually be worth getting.

I've been itching to get back into the Battlefield scene recently(despite BF1942 being my favorite MP game, I haven't touched the series since BFV), but Battlefield 2 is too old and the later ones don't interest me. This could be what gets me back.

I just realized the article said that unlimited ammo is also something that may be subject to change :D

This is an improvement.
Atleast they're listening to the fans.

24 seemed fiercely low for a Battlefield game. Unless the map sizes were significantly less smaller (and thus not as battlefield'y) it would make for a boring game of running/driving/flying around for hours never finding any enemies. Here's to hoping for at least 64.
