Its a bird. When it slows down it shows it is in front of the Washington Memorial, meaning it is between the camera and the memorial. I think everyone would notice if a flying saucer flew over their heads that close to them?

To be honest, it seems a pretty reasonable conclusion. She dressed fairly goth, and Tibbs, who is the only person here who actually knew her, said she was goth. Oh and, uh, your mom.

I laughed when he said it at first, but if you think about it it's a pretty clever way of wording it. Saying "athiests" might have come off as a bit judgmental given the way it's usually used by religious people (especially in the US), saying something like "those without faith" implies they're inferior, and not including them at all would go against his policy of bringing people of all creeds together. Non-believers sounds odd on the surface, but it implies a choice rather than a deficiency, so it's either going to come off as respectful or just plain silly, either way nobody is too offended. Obama has some pretty good speech writers.

First off, every girl wears make up. EVERY SINGLE ONE. So thats a bullshit criteria. Secondly, if you want to make a makeup argument, goths use makeup to make their skin look paler, use black lipstick, and put eye shadow around their eyes that goes out like 2 inches from their eye lids. So if anything, the makeup on her only suggests non-gothness.

Thirdly, I think i've said enough about black clothes to nullify this criteria's chances of standing alone in making someone goth. And lots of girls get lip rings and they're not goth. Lip rings are just the "cool" thing to do nowadays.

You're idea of what a Goth is, is incorrect. That is a fact.

Vegeta missed my goomba avatar but I couldn't find it so I found a random one. I got tired of it, so I switched to this delightful Rorschach one. Kinda getting bored of Walter though, so maybe I'll switch.

Firstly, I think I've been pretty unclear this entire argument. I don't even really know what a goth is, nor do I care. This entire time I've been trying to argue that the girl is trying to be goth. Those are the only people close to being goth that I've ever known. And Tibbs (you completely ignore this point every time) clearly indicates that she is atleast trying to be Goth. I know I said she was goth (see chapter 4, Sheepo is pretty careless about say about labeling people and saying things), sorry. If you continue to argue that she isn't even trying to be goth it will end in your eventual defeat.

Well now that you cleared up your unclear argument, I feel I can take back my statement that you are an idiot. Its fair enough to say she might be trying to be goth, but I think its too much of an assumption to say for certain that such is the case. My point being is that she could also be trying for emo, or scene, or hardcore etc. There are a lot of social groupings that she could possibly be a neophyte in with her current style.

And I ignore your point about Tibbs saying she is goth because I dont believe him to be a legitimate witness. I mean, he doesnt even think that it was a bird in the Obama video. Doesnt say much for his credibility in my eyes.
 
I suppose this ends in a compromise. And hot, this thread still turned out better than any thread you've ever created.
