OK so after the death of my scanner ages ago, it finally got replaced for christmas... and I'm messing around with it and some drawings from ages ago when I had delusions of webcomic greatness... anyway, what's attached is the intended "teaser" I made around the time American beauty came out.

With fresh eyes, it looked a little scrappy and rough, but hey, I need the post counts

WIP means Work in progress, or more often these days its used to explain why something looks shit. I use it all the time to explain away why something I've done doesn't look very good

Thanks for the definition, I seem to have a whole lot of stuff that falls into the WIP category which is why I'm messing around with cleaning them up.

Thanks most of all, though, for the encouragement. Praise from relative strangers means a lot, praise from relative strangers on the internet (where, after all, the term "flame" became common) means even more. Of course, now you're gonna have to put up with more of my stuff.

If anyone's interesting, the test site for the webcomic is STILL online, after alllll these years. It's missing a few pictures, working buttons and the text was just rough, but it might be worth checking out. It goes on from the American Beauty teaser.

PS: it was also before bad taste bears came to my attention, so the winged bear with penis envy and dialogue that'd make Kevin Smith blush was at least a little original

Not just posting for the sake of it this time... what colour should his mouth be? Nothing looks right.

The backstory to this one is that it was originally intended as part of a comic. I never kept the scripts, and I can't remember what he was supposed to be saying, the first one's something I was messing around with when I thought I might colour it offline. The second one's an original sketch.

Actually he was originally supposed to be a figment of the main guy's imagination... that others could see. He was adorably cute, girls flocked around him, but they only wanted cuddles. He was also as lacking as an action man and that led to the attitude. I guess you can tell that I wasn't getting any when I made up that guy
