Difference between easy, normal & hard?

I finished the game on normal and I wonder what the difference is with easy & hard mode. Is this just Gordon taking more/less damage from enemy fire or also max ammo per weapon and ammo spawns?
 
Hard mode just makes damage on Gordon higher from enemy fire and damage on the enemy less from your weapons etc.
 
These are my estimates and stuff I remember from when it was mentioned.

Easy: auto-aim on, 125% damage to enemies, 75% damage from opponents
Normal: everything 100%
Hard: your weapons do 75% damage and you take 125%

It also differs in the difficulty level in how much ammo/hp/armor you find.

I thought that it just changed percentages of damage
 
By what i got hurt while plaing hard i guess enemyes have an elevated accuracy rate, i mean i got hit while running trhough the roofs unarmed :sniper: -------- :angry:
 
there are more enemies on hard mode, significantly more. play through nova prospekt on easy and then on hard to see the diff.
 
And alot more RPG rockets to take down choppers and gunships.
 
Anyone know how the autoaim actually works? I set the game to easy and didn't notice anything.

I was messing around with the game's source code, and it appears that even normal difficulty has autoaim, just not as strong as on easy difficulty.

I swear that I've found a difficulty settings bug: I started this playthrough on Hard and I'm getting 75 energy out of the machines... Except the one in Kliener's lab, which only gave me 25...
 
also on "hard" striders freaking murder you. They use their uber cannon more and the machine gun like shots do a lot of damage as well. Also the values you get from health and armor kits are the same just not as frequent. This only applies to med kits and batteries, the wall mounted stuff is part of the map and same for every difficulty I think.
