Mass Effect. CoD4 is great and all, but you've had a very similar experience if you played the other 3. Assassin's Creed would probably be better to rent. Mass Effect will give you the longest amount of play time and it's probably the most re-playable of the 3 (not counting CoD4's multiplayer)

CoD 4 is actually very different from the previous 2 (CoD 3 doesn't deserve a mention as it was pure crap), and you can say not including the MP as its the main part of the game. Get CoD 4 and Mass Effect before xmas, great bunch of SP and a very replayable MP with CoD 4.

If you are ready for some great intense MP then go CoD4. If you prefer singleplayer then go mass effect ftmfw and lesbian "sex".

I wouldn't say it's very different. Same game play mechanics with an updated engine, better story, and modern setting (and some unique missions thrown in). The first two are still very good. I will agree with the comment about getting Mass Effect if you prefer single player and CoD4 for multiplayer.

Mass effect and CoD4 it is then. Well, I'll proboaly buy the cheapest one and get the other for christmas. Yeah, I'm cheap :p

my friend had a similiar choice, but between Assasins Creed and The orange box. Ofcorse i convinced him of the orange box

If you want replayability, go with COD4.

I'm through 3 assassination missions in Assassin's Creed (doing all the side missions along the way except flag collecting) and I've played for about 5 hours. Side missions are already getting very tedious.

I've also heard of people beating Mass Effect in 12-15 hours with 1/2 the side quests completed :|

Matter of preference. Personally I'm getting Mass Effect on potential alone (it has to live up to atleast some), and because I haven't had a good RPG fix in awhile. CoD4's multi is pretty insane though, especially if you plan on playing it alot (rankups ahoy!). On the other hand the single player isn't anything too special, besides one or two missions, and is very short.

Well it's apparent that you have an interest/ willing to delve into those genre. You also mentioned earlier ur kinda cheapo with it. I'd recommend the game that will offer replayability, and I think CoD4 brings it to table with extra creamy mashed potatoes and gravy.

I love CoD4 and Assassin's Creed, but Mass Effect just looks too damn awesome to not get

They must've just ran through dialogue and not payed much attention to anything to accomplish that feat. A friend of mine who got it early told me it took him roughly 18 hours to beat the main quest and he only did a few of the side quests.

If you do most of the side quests, I hear the game can get close to about 40 Hours. Hell lets not even forgot New Game+ :D

Get mass effect. Seriously

Oh, I forgot to mention I don't have xbox live. Does that mean Mass effect wins?

Yeah, multiplayer is a huge part of what made CoD 4 great. Compared to the other two, its not worth getting on single player alone IMO.

Wait till Mass Effect gets more reviews before deciding between it and Assassins Creed.
