As long as steam doesn't die in the future and all my games go to waste, I like digital content.

If you ever need to reformat or something, and you end up not being able to find the game disk, just redownload it from steam.

I don't think Steam is going anywhere

And downloading stuff is about 1000x more convenient.

Well i've never had the chance to dl a game before (damnit that sounds illegal lol) so i'l tell you for sure after hl2 (i've pre-ordered on steam)

As was said, as long as steam doesn't go under im fine. But i think being able to redownload any time outweighs the cons.

Although if steam went under i'm guessing VALVe would make all games available for single player (without using steam to verify and what not)

i don't trust technology to work...... so i burn hard copies of everything ........ im gonna buy HL2 just so I have a hard copy
