not that I like Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi all that much but this is pretty funny ...heh he was caught doing in public what Bush has been doing to americans in private for years

funny video:

gotta love europeans attitudes on sex, refreshing change from north american puritanism "dear lord is that a nipple?!? call the national guard!"

Invade the superbowl and sieze the nipples of mass erection.

I don't know why there's such a fear of sex in the U.S. They have some of the best pornstars in the world. The school i went to was loaded with Italians and i used to get that pretend sex in the butt all the time. I'm sure nobody needed to know that information, but there it is.

hehe, nice post, that gave me a giggle.. a real Italian stallion

Im trying to imagine the uproar if Tony Blair tried that here....

I was not expecting that!

Mi Scusi?

LOL Stern, if Bush did that to Condoleeza Rice or someone, you'd have a field day in here :).

untrue ..actually I'd encourage it in condeleeza's case :E ..although somehow I see bush as more of passive sort who would submit to Rice's domineering persona: "I'm putting on the strap on george, bend over" :E

Rofl, that was so unexpected I laughed out loud.

People have always been 'sex crazed'. Try it, you'll like it.

Yes, however that in no way justifies being sex crazed. People have always had wars, does that justify war?

Yes, people shouldn't have sex. Too many people end up dying.

I am divided by LOLness and disgust.

You can't compare war and sex.

Granted what he did may have been well have been out of line, but I wouldn't get all uptight about it.

(Ooo Stern, don't tar the not-tooo-bad Puritains with the Fundamentalist brush)

I meant puritan in this sense:

"adj: morally rigorous and strict"

not the religious group

oh and puritans are fundamentalists

I thought that was hilarious. Politicians as a rule take everything way too seriously; if they all lightened up a bit I'm sure the world would be a safer and a nicer place.

It's not the politician's faults - it's the wanna-be politician's faults. "People" like Hillary Clinton. Bush would be out of work tomorrow had he pulled a stunt like that. Becuase face it, thats not really the type of behavior expected of the leader of a nation. Conversly, breaking the constitutional ammendments seems like it might not be very newsworthy.

Seeing someone that high in power do someting like in that video is a little bothersome and a bit soothing at the same time.

I don't know what to think except LOL

Just a guess - It seems to me the cop was issuing a ticket on one of his posse's cars. So he was ****ing her right back?
I am reminded of an MC hammer song, "Can't touch this!" and then some xmen spoof, "dont you know who I am?!" , " Im the Juggernaut bitch!"

I don't really know, but if my guess is right...

I really don't think the prime minister's posse is going to pay that ticket ;)

That Wikipedia article is a bit wrong in the sense that:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puritan#Controversy said:
Many pundits posit a Puritan spirit in the United States' political culture, especially in its historical tendency to oppose things such as alcohol and sexuality.

That's pure post-restoration propraganda, the Puritans (at the very least in the Civil War sense of the word) were no more strict on these matters than any other religious group at the time.

yes but this is now that was then

fundamentalism can mean this:

"the interpretation of every word in the sacred texts as literal truth"

which is how they interpret the bible:

"To the Puritans, Scripture, as a whole and in all its parts, was the utterance of God: God's word set down in writing, his mind opened and his thoughts declared for man's instruction. The content of Scripture is God's eternal truth, for the historical process which the Bible records and interprets is just the temporal outworking of God's eternal plan, formed before the world was. In this sense, 'what our Scriptures have set down and written, is all but extracts and copies taken out of the Scriptures in God's heart, in which they were written from everlasting.'"

in any event I meant the strict adherence to morality rather than the religious group

Sorry bout that..

Nice lil derailment there :E

yes derailments are fine so long as they have happy conclusions :)

Haha, yes, I like Burlosconi too. The world needs more humans and less robots running the place.

Berlusconi is a homophobe, a racist and a facist. He owns many of Italy's newspapers and TV-stations, and he uses these as propaganda tools, not least during the election campains.

At least he knows how to throw a good party.

And by party, I don't mean social function.
