Disc problem????????????????

Just checked out my hl2 config settings (did an explore on disc in my computer
Could this explain why I cant get game to start

Looks like to me you dont have admin rights,not enough hard drive space,and you already have some version of half life 2 installed

I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times to attempt to get it working. Admin rights to the game?.....My cd key was recognisedand have a steam account name and password.

I have 452 gb free space on my hard drive!

This appears to be the crux of my problem or is it. If so wtf do I do to rectify it. This info was aquired doing an explore of the disc in the drive
