I want to run Disk Defragmenter on my system. I heard that games may play a little better after I have done so. The problem is, I only have 7% of Free Space left. I have a 30GB HDD and I have used a total of 28.63GB. For Disk Defragmenter to run, it needs at least 15% of usable free space. I have been deleting and uninstalling A LOT of junk and unneeded stuff off of my system.
So, should I run Disk Defragmenter anyway? Or what should I do to gain much more Free Space? I don't think I can delete any more stuff off of my C drive. What now?

Thanks.

BTW: I know. I need a new HDD. This one is just about filled up. ;(

delete some old stuff then defrag
That is what I have been doing and have done. Like I stated, I have deleted and uninstalled A LOT of stuff. Now, my question is, should I continue with defragment even though I only have 7% of Free Space or what else should I delete?

EDIT: Make that 9%. I have been deleting a little more stuff.

continue deleting/burning to cd's if you have a burner. if you're defragging after getting hl2 then you may need up to 20% free space, since the files are quite large (instead of a lot of small ones, which is easier to defragment). i've gotten rid of 6gb on my games partition and windows defragmenter still won't defragment the files completely.
