i'd been avoiding listening to it after listening to the genius of the waters years and thinking to myself how could he possibly be bettered...i tried the syd barrett years and i appreciate why other people like his era of floyd but i didn't take to him that much apart from a couple of tunes like paintbox and julia dream...but after a while i got round to listening to division bell
i honestly love it...i think its great. like a lot say though, it doesn't have as much grit as the earlier floyd albums like dark side and the wall but it carries some great tunes on it like two in particular, a great day for freedom and coming back to life in my opinion...marooned to a point
although to me it certainly seems to lack the overall pink floyd 'feeling', its still a great album by all means
what are your opinions?
