heres the link to the file and some screens to boot. this is the final product (after all the stupid questions ive asked on these forums) now.....who would like to test it out? i want some more expert opinions on my map....so i come to ask of your assisstance. if you guys think its all good....i will submit it for people to download, and if not....back to the drawing board. http://xsilentsniperx16.tripod . com/id2.html and click where it says dm_garage. there are also 10 screens on that page. (remember to get rid of the spaces in the link if you want it to work)

Congrats on the map release, it's always exciting to get a map done and out. Looks like it could offer some exciting area-esque gameplay. Best way to get your map out is to host a server and muck around until people join, as they're sure to eventually. Post it to as many mapping sites/forums as you can and I'm sure you'll get loads of feedback.

The pics look good. I have havent downloaded it yet so I cant give good critiques.
One thing though. It might just be me but it seems that the ceiling is a kinda high. Dunno if you were going for that feel. And what kind of garage is it?

its like a parking garage at the very bottom of a sky scraper. and it looks big cause the scale is done kind of big...the whole map is like that. i look back and wish i would have made it a tad smaller, but that would create more work to fix than i think it is worth. i just wanted to make the divisions in powers of 2 (32...16...64...128). thanks for the feedback...come em comin. My comp is too laggy to host games btw....its dsl but for hl2 it might as well be 56k. i will submit it to some sites though....i remember limpet mention half life 2 filefront.

Too much different types of lighting (I saw red, green, blue and white... And come on, WHITE?)

hmmm.. no props, no lightglows, no nice interesting geometry, no wires, no dynamic lighting, no cool decals, no displacement mapping, no custom textures... but for a first map it looks good. (if its youre first map!?..)

i have plenty of props, lightglows, some wires, some dynamic lighting (cant put in too much), decals, displacements, and a few custom textures in my map. im not sure what you mean

and those lights arent solid white they are slightly yellow....what color should have i applied?

i do see what you mean by the interesting geometry and different colored lighting comments though. Maybe ill create more detail brushes and replace the blue lights with dark green.

....never thought of using pictures in a garage. maybe ads.

Edit: ah....pretty much all my displacements are outside.
